Refund Policy

At ICAC Bahrain (“we”, “our”, or “the Centre”), we are committed to providing transparent and applicant-friendly policies. The following policy outlines when and how refunds will be issued for services availed through our platform or physical centre, in line with our agreement with the Embassy of India, Bahrain.

1. Service Fee Refunds

  • Refundable Cases:

    • If services have not been availed by the applicant and prior written notice has been provided to us before processing begins.

    • If an applicant has been charged more than once for the same service.

    • If an applicant has paid more than required and provide proof of the excess payment.

  • Non-Refundable Cases:

    • If the service has already been rendered, the Service Fee is non-refundable.

    • If an applicant does not submit required documents or fails to complete the application within the stipulated time (21 working days), the Service Fee will be retained, even if the Government of India fees are refunded.

2. Government of India (GoI) Fees

  • The GoI fees (Consular Fee and ICWF surcharge) will be refunded only if:

    • The application is incomplete, and deficiencies are not rectified within 21 working days.

    • The applicant formally withdraws the application before submission to the Embassy.

  • The refund will exclude bank/agency charges, which will be deducted on actuals.

3. Mode and Timeline of Refunds

  • Refunds (when applicable) will be processed:

    • Within 30 calendar days of confirmation of refund eligibility.

    • Using the original mode of payment or an alternative as mutually agreed.

  • Delays beyond 30 days may attract penalties under our agreement with the Embassy.

4. Courier/Return Charges

  • If the applicant opts not to collect the documents in person, courier charges for returning incomplete applications will be borne by the applicant.

5. Legal and Tax Compliance

  • All refunds are subject to compliance with local tax laws (including VAT/GST or similar).

  • In cases where local laws prohibit refunds, such cases will be exempted from refund obligations.
